The America We Built by Linda Carroll

[Image source: Wikipedia]

Strangers came to this land
And started building their homes and lives.
Winter came and almost killed them.
Natives reached out in humanity;
Would not let them starve,
Treated those strangers as brothers and sisters.
Now this is the Nation we built,
The United States of America.
Today is Thanksgiving.
